A recent visit to the Italian restaurant Bellissima was (pardon the pun) a non-starter. While it certainly lives up to its name and is very beautiful in a la moda concerto of pastels, glass and muted lighting; it has much to aspire to otherwise.
The food, you will ask? I wish I could tell you, as I never saw the menu. Admiring the concerto of pastels, glass and muted lighting took-up all of fifteen minutes....at the end of which I still hadnt received the document.
Why, do you ask? Ask Amit the manager who chased me down the stairs, BEGGING me to return to my seat, only to find it had been immediately given away to another couple by the hostess. Another table offered? Or even a glass of wine?
NO --- just an SMS thereafter to apologize. Which got the appropriate reply: too little too late. WHY do establishments in this city think they can get away with murder?
Well, this is one corpse who prefers to eat ghar-ka-khaana instead of being subjected to such humiliation. And, as for the concerto, I have plenty of Vivaldi at home.
