I was possibly the first visitor this place ever had?primarily because I knew the original owners through a friend?and I must say I was rather excited about it?it was different, seemed reasonably economical and more importantly was close by and good variety of food.
Since then the ownership has passed on and another branch has opened up in Khan Market. The restaurant still maintains its popularity but in my opinion its reached a peak?the opening up of the Khan Market store led to direct increase in prices within a few days which I thought was rather unfair?and then I heard that they are not doing too well and this led to cost cutting?so how did they go about doing that they crashed down a bit on the quality of their products.
Service is bad?its common to find lines during weekdays as well?.i suggest if you want to avoid the rush then go before 8 or after 10. And prepare to be not given so much attention by the stewards.
What I find most disgusting however is the seating arrangement? I have said that the place is popular and draws big crowds..but for some reason they refuse to use their 2nd floor?so as a result you are sitting hip to hip with other people downstairs?and its very suffocating?there is no open space left at all?and for non smokers it must be worse since downstairs is a smoking zone?think they are being very cheap in this regard. I have not been there in the afternoon for a while bu maybe its better during that time.
As such its still in my list iof places to go?to chill..not blow up too much money.
I recommend the Brownie with chocolate sauce and the Penne with Bacon.
