Pathetic service and extremely unprofessional

I got a promotional voucher of free lunch and movie vouchers for 2 people on purchasing a Philips Hair dryer. I tried to redeem the vouchers by calling on the number mentioned on the voucher which is 1860 500 7799. However, 90% of the time I tried, my call gets connected for maximum two seconds and then it  gets disconnected on its own and every time I end up loosing Rs.1 from my balance.

Finally after repeated attempts, my call got through and when I requested them to book movie tickets for Wednesday, February 3rd, they assured me that they would call back one day prior to the booking date. However, I never received any calls from their end on Feb 2nd as promised. So the following day, I tried to contact them again on their 24 X 7 busy number and when I inquired about my booking and why they never called me back, they simply gave the excuse that they tried calling me two times but nobody answered the phone it seems. I really don’t understand how can they lie so shamelessly when I never received even a single missed call from their number.

Anyhow I asked them to book my tickets for the next day. However, they again came up with the excuse that no slots were available for the next 2-3 days. Already frustrated with their fake excuses and rude behavior, I requested them to book the tickets and lunch for Tuesday, Feb 9th.They told me they would surely confirm the booking this time, again one day prior to the date of booking. On Feb 8th I received a call from them only to hear them they say that they are facing some technical issues and hence would not be able to book tickets for next one week and that they would revert back to me soon. I’m 100% positive that these people are just making false promises which they don’t intend to keep anytime in future.

It’s not that we don’t have money to go for lunch or movies. But the thing is that if you are not able to fulfill your promises and deliver quality customer service, at least stop issuing those nonsense vouchers which are good for nothing. I’d suggest people not to waste their precious time on these vouchers and waste money on phone bills calling these bunch of unprofessional crooks.
