BigShoe Bazaar- A real waste of time - Updated Rev

After browsing through the BSB(Bigshoe bazaar) website I was impressed by the vast collection of shoes they had but I was skeptical buying shoes through online for I had doubt in the correct size but I also saw that they have mentioned a return policy which was also good and also a 100 day guarantee for the shoes bought through their website. Assured by their guarantee and return policy I went ahead and purchased a red tape shoe.

Before I bought these pair of shoes I read most of the reviews of BSB in MS and 99% was negative. I was wondering if someone’s service could really be so bad as mentioned by most of MS members. I also saw most of them have bought the shoes and paid through online method and they have mentioned that the shoes were never delivered or the money not refunded.

I thought of not paying through any online method but opted for a COD(Cash on Delivery) method even though it cost Rs.100/- more. As soon as I finished the formalities of buying the shoes through their website I got an order no.676851. Immediately within 15 minutes I got a call from BSB employee for verification of my order since it was a COD. I was impressed that they were fast but that was about it.

After four days I received a mail from BSB that the particular shoes were out of stock and they tired their best to procure blah blah blah…. stuff. Imagine if I had paid through credit card it would have been an ordeal to get the amount back and would have lost considerable time in this process.

What I fail to understand is why the particular shoes are still displayed in their website despite being out of stock? I now really think most of the shoes mentioned are out of stock and they have not properly updated the website regarding this.

Probably after this experience with BSB I think most of the reviews are indeed correct when they say how bad their service is. Next time I would stick with buying shoes from shop, I think that would be the smart thing to do.

Good bye Big Shoe Bazaar.

Update* *

Well out of interest I browsed through the bigshoebazaar website once again and was pleasantly surprised to note the changes in their website. I found all the links working and categorizations of products were easy and good to browse through. I think they have a new Management now taking a professional look into how everything is working through their website. Looking at their new website I ordered a pair of Egle shoes costing around Rs.3500/- which were up for discount price of Rs.1300/-(their one day "shoes for the day" sale is really interesting with good discount). I opted for COD still not sure if I would get delivery if I used the credit card. * *

As soon as I placed the order I got a call from one of their employee checking my address and was asked about the size and was told that the shoes would be delivered within 72 hours. Well, I got the shoes in 48 hours on COD through Blue Dart couriers. The shoes were really good and worth the discount price and I was surprised to note that it was also not second sale item as there were no flaws in the stitches on the shoes.* *

I have now ordered another pair of Homme shoes worth Rs.4000/- for a discount price of Rs.1500/-. It seems they have worked out their logistics and service has improved very much. * *

Keep up the good work Bigshoebazaar* *
