Well, ahem !! I have nothing against hindi movies, but all the movies I have watched for the exception of DIL CHAHTA HAI have been crazy, hackneyed to the least. Most ( 99.99 %) of the hindi movies seem to be revolving around the same storyline, do have reason to believe that BRIDE AND PREJUDICEwouldnt be too different from the same.
The only thing I believe that is common is the ’’Tweaked Title’’ for the movie. Jane Austen I believe would be having the worst nighmares in her Grave. Do Believe that , ’It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife’’ would have become ’’Seek Rich Husbands for Our Daughters’’ .
For believers, if I were to make an english movie ofGODAN by the ONE and ONLY PREMCHAND, well most people wouldnt exactly savour it. Sometimes, The best way to appreciate / value Classics are IN THE ORIGINAL UNDILUTED FORM.
That doesnt make me against change or progress, Somethings especially Classical Literature be in their original form / or the adapted form be in the ORIGINAL LANGUAGE.
I do Believe that Adaptations are amazing as long as the medium of Language is kept in the same language as the Original.
Remember the HINDI TRANSLATION OF ENGLISH MOVIES LIKE - TRUE LIES etc where swear words like ASSHOLE became GHOCHU, well had a great time laughing my gut out, it was at times better than most of the comic movies which I have watched.
I havent watched the movie and am still writing this review, what an asshole.. opps

Gurinder Chada made a good movie in BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM, I have 10001 reason to believe this movie BALLE BALLE LA TO WHEREVER is not for me to watch.
so, for people who value CLASSICS, would like to believe that this movie isn’t for them for the simple reason that some things are SAVOURED IN THEIR PURE FORM.
