They don't make movies like these anymore

I just happened to see Broken Arrow after a long time today and it thrilled me as much as thrilled me before. A typical 90s Action Thriller which does not lose momentum. They do not make action movies like these anymore, even if they do. they show too much emotion and cliche’d dialogues which disturbs the whole momentum. Even James Bond movies nowadays have become a drag.

Coming back to the movie, Major Deakins played by John Travolta is a frustrated army officer who steals nuclear weapons and blackmails the US government for money or he’ll activate the weapons while Captain Hale played by Christian Slater tries to stop him with the help of a park ranger Terry Carmichael played by Samantha Mathis. I will not reveal the plot much.

The plot is very intelligiently laid out and Travolta’s character as a deranged genius is very well-defined. The action sequences are as good as any movie I’ve seen. It is a very absorbing movie which is also well edited. The one-liners are nice and the two main characters played by Travolta and Slater are constantly shown to outdo each other like playing a game of chess.

If you like action movies and if you like thrillers. this is a must watch movie.
