Does god play dice ?
This was a huge question raised by an eminent scientist a long time ago, the details of which I would like not to delve deep into.
This is the same question that many of us do feel when we are exasperated when there’s nothing we are getting outta life except disappointed. When nothing seems to go our way and the only way that everything can be set right is by noway.
Bruce Almighty is the simple story of Bruce Noman( excuse me if I’ve got the name wrong ) who is tired of his comical antics which his audience love. He is the one who feels that his full potential is not being used to the fullest. He is a every day guy with a very simple life, dreaming of being a celeb. And then there’s honesty in the path he wants to achieve it, honestly by his own talent.
But history has been a constant reminder of this fact, hardwork n perseverance n a pinch of luck are all that is needed by one to succeed. What Bruce doesn’t have is this. As is the way of mortals he makes god the sole reason for his pitiable state.
And now is the time for god to teach him a lesson albeit in a divine manner. * No violence involved *. God makes Bruce the God and leaves the matters in Bruce’s hands. What happens next is neone’s guess ???
Bruce learns the duties and responsibilities of god the hard way. But what’s important is he learns it...
Now to the best part of the movie. Jim. He’s just adorable. He’s the guy next door with all the human fallacies who dreams to make it big but never wants to agree that he doesn’t have it in him to make it big.
The next best thing is GOD. Absolutely nothing in god makes him look a lesser god. The compassionate understanding of the human fallacies. The method he adopts to make Bruce understand that being god is no easy thing.
The movie doesn’t leave you in splits but definitely makes you feel good bout ourselves. A smile is all that this movie promises but isn’t that what v need ?
