This review is specifically about the international roaming offered by BSNL. This is my 3rd international trip after porting to BSNL cell one.
the caller ID shows as unknown or wrong numbers when I get an incoming call on International roaming. if you are unable to identify your caller, especially the incoming charges are billed at the peak, I would say it is useless.
No incoming SMS while on International roaming. I tried all possibilities, changing the SMS service centre number to the local roaming partner, contacting their help desk, no use. You will get SMS only if it is sent from BSNL. The main advantage of international roaming is that incoming SMS is free. I had enjoyed this when I was with my earlier GSM partner. but here they won’t give you SMS at all.
No or non-responsive dedicated roaming customer care. they have a dedicated customer care at ir.bsnl.co.in. this is also useless, nobody responds for the complaints registered here.
My mark to BSNL for International roaming facility is zero. I would rather request them to stop providing this facility to avoid losing your current customers. I had visited countries in Middle East, Germany and some other EU countries.
