First of all let me tell you that BSNL is the only tele communication company in the world where customer has to make them (BSNL Staff) understand what BSNL is providing. You have to search for the schemes via website or any other media and make them understand that ’Dear sir your company is providing this n that schemes, heve heard about it’. Presentative at mobile department doesn’t know what is SIM card. And most importantly they even doesn’t know Cellone customer care number!!!!
I got very bad experience with BSNL. I had registered for Cellone post paid connection with Unlimited SMS Scheme (About which I said them that this kind of scheme is available by BSNL) which costs Rs. 200/- per month. After getting SIM activated I confirmed with them that now I can freely send SMS. I enjoyed SMSing whole month with damn little coverage. Now one day my Nokia show me ’SIM registration failed’. I contacted BSNL Mobile reprentative, but as usual he doesn’t know even a little thing about mobile. He asked me what is customer care number and contacted them. Now hear, my local BSNL presentative said your SIM will start in 2 days. After 2 days I again asked them, they said its not in my hands you have to go to Valsad(35 kms away), which is local area head quarter. I went to Valsad, even they said your SIM will start in 2-3 days. After 4 days I again asked to Valsad office, they said we forwarded your application to Ahmedabad and now its not in our hands you have to go to Ahmedabad!!! Ok even I called Ahmedabad office, they said we still not get any kind of application. After one day investigation they said yes your SIM has some problems and we promise it will be started in 2 days. They accepted that the problem was from their side. After 2 days called me and said your SIM has been started check it. I checked it but was showing same message. They said it will be done in Pune so it might take some time.
Now second day what they said, they said you have not paid bill so your SIM is blocked!!! For your knowledge my SIM registration was just 40-45 days old. And till that date I had not get any bill. After a week I got bill, the figure was heart attacking, Rs. 6424/-, including out going of Rs. 4/- in one month, only out going figure was right as I did only call in that month(i usually use SMS). I again contacted local office, again same answer, go to Valsad. In Valsad they investigated and accepted that ’Unlimited SMS Scheme’ written on registration form with red pen(as there is no clause in Cellone form for that permanent scheme). But no one there bothered about it. But they said they will provide revised bill, which unfortunately or fortunately yet to come even after one and half month.
Now the magic time, I cancelled my SIM on 30 june. I got another bill in august showing amount Rs. 4265/-. The magic bill for duration from 1 July to 31 July!!!(i cancelled SIM on 30 June). The magic bill is for SMS only, bill does not have monthly rental and out going charges included!!!!!!!!
