When I first became a Vegetarian 8 years ago I quickly learned that burger king was my new found friend. They had Veggie Whoppers. These were the days before the soy burger arrived, so it was basically a whopper bun toasted with lettuce, ketchup, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mayo and optional cheese. And these were GOOD. I LOVED them! And then Along came the soy burger, and there was no looking back! I LOVE them ever more then the original veggie whopper!
They are one of my favorite veggie burgers from fast food OR grocery. Although they are a little pricey considering soy is cheaper then beef as far as I know..they are worth it! Sure you wont be fooled into thinking it is beef...but it is still pretty darn good. I think Harveys may actually use the same soy patty, but for some reason the burger king ones just taste better. They have the burger on their low fat combo menu too, but it doesnt have the luxuries of cheese and mayo.
If you order one make sure to specify soy burger...sometimes they will slip ya the plain veggie whopper..which although good..itll take two to fill ya!
And as for the onion rings..just dont bother...those are AWFUL. Ground onions shaped into a hoop and battered then fried..tastes like powdered onion spice. Yuk! ~~~Save a hot dog! Go veggie!~~~
