Like any other person we are all carried away by all those affection filled advertisement from Health Insurance. Secondly we are all suffering from lethargy, lethargy which discourages us from reading through the fine prints. this is something I have learned the hard way.
There is plenty written about this company and I am not going to waste space by writing more. I can sum up all that my friends have written in a a single line i.e. "TTK is the most pathetic company to deal with" but the purpose to this article is something different.
I would like to point out certain fact that need to be verified before your buy a Health Insurance first & foremost The company & its reputation 2. weather they have a in house processing department or again everything is outsourced to TTK.
This is very important I have good no of people who were not aware of this situation & out of frustration they have switched from ICICI to Good Health or vice verse without realizing the fact that both these companies have outsourced their processing to TTK.
Please do not be fooled I have checked from Doctors to patients. Even a doctor is frustrated by the time they consume to clear a process and in turn clear payments. Please note that a doctor will not start treating a patient unless TTk gives clearence for cashless. so if they take 3 days u will be forced to pay from your pocket as nobody would love to see their loved once suffering.
Most of the time TTK’s cashless is worthless as they will approve a very trivial part of the insured amount and hold the remaining on the pretext of technical or other shortcoming in the paper work. once this is done you end up paying all your hospital bills from your pocket and then another plight begin which is to following up for your claim.
I think TTK employees people based on their rudness do not expect courtesy here. and if you call their toll free no you will be pushed arrount from Delhi to Kolkata to Bangalore to Chennai. so before taking any health insurance ask the agent who process their claim if its TTK DO NOT TAKE THAT POLICY. its like buying a same goods with a different packing.. by the way I didn’t wanted to give them even a poor rating but that the minimum I have to select
