So I hear all this buzz about iTunes and Winamp and music match being the best players around. So I am set out to prove them all wrong here. No offense guys, I was a big Winamp fan myself before I discovered jetaudio .
So what’s so special about this software. Get the software from http://www.jetaudio.com and then after a simple and easy installation the below is what you get:
1) Hot keys - Everything that u cud possibly think of can be done without ever clicking the mouse. Play, pause, stop, next song, volume up or down. Everything has a key board short cut. The application sits on your system tray when minimised and without evening highlighting it u can use all these shortcuts. Cool isnt it??
2) Fantastic graphic equalizer and audio settings, u can set things like room, hall, stadium etc and the you will really feel the difference.
3) Ripping CDs, never been easier, u can even rip the whole CD into one single file if you like. The prefered format though is not MP3, but WMA. So wat u can set your own sampling rate while ripping, so you can even have totally lossless conversion. The album information from the CD is also automatically read and software will create the CD as a separate album!!
4) Burn baby Burn!!, yes, u can burn CDs too with this software.
5) Did I tell you that it plays DVDs and VCDs too!!
6) Playlist and albums are regular features these days, they are also present.
7) Conversion, yes, u can convert between different file formats too!!
7) I am saving the best for the last here. So you have a long day in office and you just want to listen to some good music before going to bed!. Finally you are real sleepy, but you will have to go to your comp and shut it down, by the time you do that you already wide awake. So wat do you do, set your timer in Jetaudio and sleep tight, the timer is like a stop watch, when its done Jetaudio can be made to do any of the 3 options (exit, exit and enter standby mode, shutdown windows) Now how cool is that!. (And now you all know how lazy I am!!)
The product is a freeware, you can also get this software from download.com , I have been using it for the past 3 years now, no spyware, no issues. jetaudio plays just about every audio and video format imaginable and its good with VCDs that has a lot of scratches too.
There is skin builder that you can use to create your own skins and there is broadcast option, ( I have not used it though) can be used to broadcast the music across internet ( me thinks!!!). All in all a fantastic product that not many people have discovered yet.
