Crouching acting and hidden plot

Well this amply demonstrates the power of hype and the mystery of the unknown but the moment the veil lifts off that is when people see that the emperor is actually nude then the reality strikes... The movies has been touted as legendary classic from mainland china (taiwan to be precise) and hence the fans of martial arts flocked seeing the breathtaking action choreographies but for the not so sophisticated india audience the charm of the wizadry did not rub off and they ended up seeing a rajnikanth style of kicking and leaping in the air . Well all this could have been overlooked if the storyline could keep the viewers glued to their seats and here ang lee failed miserbaly to weave a plot that whose threads could be held together.

The characters are fairly real but their motives and their justifications are hardly explained and their emtoig consequently leaves the viewer untouched .

The lovely backgroud score adds a further sense of rhythm to the action scenes and the outdoor locales are lovely.

Sadly all this fails to leave an indelible imprint when exiting the movie hall and one just muses as to where the tiger, the dragon and the meaning is all hidden .
