The services of Videocon D2H is horrible.
I wanted to share my experience as a customer(Customer Id 11056617).
I purchased the Videocon D2H on 22nd May 2010. The installation was prompt and was done on the next day(that is probably because a good dealer was involved). But my happiness did not last longer.
The set-top box(Wall Mountable 1002-U) started giving problem. Initially, the Set Top box became dead(no power). I tried reaching the call centre. There are 3 numbers, but getting to speak to anybody in the contact centre is extremely difficult. I want to share that I tried for over 3 hours continuously to get connected to the contact centre(either the line was busy, or else they put me in queue and the call use to drop after making me hold for 10-15 minutes every time). At last after 40-50 attempts, I was connected to the contact centre. The executive asked me to remove the white cable(data cable from the dish antenna to the set top box) and plug it again. What a solution . Surprisingly it worked, and I could watch TV.
But then this problem became very often . and I did the same trick whenever the problem came.
Then different set of problem started. The set top box was on, but the PIP screen(Mosiac view) was not visible, or the PIP screen(Mosiac view) was visible, but the channel was not visible. This problem comes and rectifies itself automatically after some time(may be 1 hour, 2 hour, or coupe of hours.) .
*Reaching the call centre was difficult. Even Videocon does not respond to the emails(which I sent to customer care).
I want to warn the prospective buyer through this medium to think twice before making a purchase decision for Videocon D2H.
