We own two FT50s & a FT 60 in our household. All are under three years of age. pretty expensive contraptions, we fell for the brand unfortunately at that time.
Daikin service team seldom responds to query, Probably overconfident at the reputation the brand carried our queries on the web page does not go beyond the first contact. On product front, most important issue is the remote control unit. Out of three remote units we had only one is operational other two went un serviceable within the first 15-18 months, spare remote is as expensive as Rs. 2000. These are not designed for Indian conditions and fail invariably, dealers acknowledge the same slyly.
Our LG 1.5 T which is half the cost, also bought around the same time is so efficient, a bit noisy perhaps, but does teh job. Importantly, the remote unit is so classy, sleek, more functions and designed for tropical use with phosphorescent buttons for nightuse et all. Even our 5 year old Ogeneral is still the workhorse, remote is just outstanding. Surprisinghow the japanese rivals have different standards for different markets and dont learn from one another.
In all I would say Daikin lost out on Brand superiority for meto consider in future, it has to deliver on rational elements along side Japanese/Korean and Indian competitors to be reckoned to regain.
