NOW LET ME SEE...hmmm......? So I watched Darna Mana Hai and let me provide my verdict in a sense of a normal person who does not think about - 1) the how it works in India? 2)how the common man of india thinks 3)how some people LIKE and how some people WOULD not LIKE about this movie.

’’Entertainment’’ the one word that indian movie goers only want
from the movies they want to watch. They all show their backs on to movies that has a heart which is honest to film making. This decade of love movies (((sorry, for there was only Love and love only))) were all the same and same and same, in each movie. Yes there was entertainment..but it went too far. There is a limit to which entertainment can go in national level. Then people started laughing at it and yet it starts churning out and out and out.
All those years there was one person who was way far from the industry’s brain and yet he worked in the industry.
It was Ram Gopal Varma(there was vidhu vinod chopra and mani ratnam also) and he was not making stupid love movies in sleep. He made films in india that did not look like ’’INDian’’ movies but good and great movies in a sense of real entertainment and filmmaking.
He knew that talent is running out in industry but he suddenly was conscious of the real talent. Talent...not simply in acting and story but ---- in sound, art, design, direction, style, film making, and everything that is behind camera.
now that is were other foreign movies are succesful - behind camera. Whether the movie is bad or story is bad the power should be shown behind camera. That is where Devdas, bhoot, lagaan, company, and darna mana hai had made a milestone. Devdas was a honestly a poor and dissapointing movie but the power of technicality could be seen on screen. bhoot honestly was not so scary but the technicallity was scary and perfect.
Most indian movies are technically poor and ---YES MEIN PREM KI WHATEVER WAS ALSO POOR BEHIND THE CAMERA IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AND AROUND THE CAMERA.
That is why I say darna mana hai is different and a success. And ...oh my gosh...not in box office( never think
about box offices in reviews)) but in filmmaking eventhough the climax was not from heart. but the
movie was form heart of the dir. and varma in shouting and slapping at the faces of indian film makers--- ’’Start being sensible and start in now not after a decade and not waiting for others to start the trend or whatever . think and make good films or powerful entertainers.’’’’There is no trend!! After watching this I could proudly say that we are far ahead than hollywood. But, nooooooooo! I cannot because there should be more movies that should be better.
Ram gopal varma would be very happy if there are indian movies that are much better than his movies because he wants to see good filmmaking. This may not be a review of the movie but it is a review of the industry. They all show their backs on good art movies ((the only sector of industry that is far ahead in India and internationally)) but atleast support good entertainers ..not masala or whatever..yeah....your cool and I am cool
