This movie is a complete mess. I don’t understand what Kamal Hasan has tried to prove here by doing 10 roles. If he has attempted some kind of world record then he has failed miserably.
The story line starts with 12th century chola empire and the fight between a Vishnu devotee and the king. Then the story switches to the week preceeding the bocing day Tsunami of 2004. As usual Kamal hasan is a great scientist in the US. He is working on some bio weapon and the plot revolves around that potent weapon. An Ex CIA agent played by none other than Kamal himself is trying to obtain the fatal weapon for personal gains. Kamal the scientist tries to prevent it from falling into wrong hands and the goose chase leads him from Washington DC to Chennai.
Of the several roles played by him every role is a disaster other than he himself(Scientist). The reason being pathetic makeup. It looks as if he has worn a mask. The cheap makeup is quite visible and anyone can make out that its him. The story line is cheap. The visual effects are the worst. The tsunami in the end is a complete joke. The movie is filled with the usual south indian masala type stuff and it gets very boring in between. Overall I won’t recommend this movie. It does not build up to its hype.
