I had a post paid connection by Orange. I got fed up with them due to excess billing & poor response to my complaints. Their efforts to some how or other to milk the customer also put me off. I threw my Orange sim card & went for RIM ( I am happy with RIM but thats another story). But I needed one more mobile, I started the process again, I found BPL, AIRTEL & ORANGE all same, So I avoided them. I decided to buy MTNL TRUMP, the same being cheap. ( It gives you a talk time credit of Rs 240/month for a recharge of Rs 300/-). I was told that I should go to Santacruz Exchange to get a TRUMP SIM). On that day the SIM were not available there. I had to go to Prabhadevi Exchange to get the same. There was a ’’Q’’ there. I was really surprised. The other operators were selling SIMs free ( after taking into account the free air time bundled) & there was a big ’’Q’’ for TRUMP. I was asked to fill up a form, copies of PAN CARD & Ration card. The SIM was in my hand with a payment of Rs 225/- ( Nothing is free here !!). I took a recharge of Rs 100/- ( Vaild for 10 days talk value Rs 60/-). Now I find the TRUMP very good. Its very cheap. The roaming in Maharastra, MP & Gujrat is free. The local call charges are Rs 2.10 for mobile & Rs 2.40 for land line. While roaming there is no fee ( Private one charge you Rs 50/month). The incoming & out going is Rs 2.40. ( against Rs 5.40 & 6.40 by others) BSNL Network while roaming is up even in small villages & roads. One thing for sure they won’t charge you for any thing which is not there as per policy. Other operators are busy to find out the ways how to get more money from u. Be it automated roaming , Min balance for roaming, inflating the pluse and so on and so on ................
