I have spent my major life in Mumbai, but never have Pizzas frequently to judge. I live at Jubilee Hill Area of Hyderabd and I have two Domino’s and two Pizza hut withing 4 km reach. After havign eaten at most of these places in last one month, one thing I can defenately say. Pizza of Domino’s is tasteless and doens’t worth any dime. Let me tell you my usual experience with Domino’s at Jubilee Hill or Madhapur.
I need to alwasy request at the counter to wipe clean the table. (They don’t bother to clean teh table after customer havign gone after eating pizza). The Pizza is sometime not fully cooked. (You should not get the tase of pizza bread. FYI, it tastes like usual bread/pao). They accept Sodexo passes.. Yeppeee. I love Hot (mirchi) very much but none of their Single Mirchi Hot or Double mirchi Hot item is really good. That’s the main thing pisses me off. I come here to eat. The menu has single/double mirchi icon to certain items but when you eat it. It is NOT AT ALL hot. I just feel cheated. The offering that they have compared to Pizza hut is not at all comparable (at least is tase). Pizza hut is pricey compared to Domino’s. Btu They sell you 500 ml of soft drink for Rs 20 compared to Pizza hut which charges Rs 35 for 200 ml. While placing the order they ask you if I’m going to eat there or take parcel. I have alwasy eaten there itslef. but still they tend to brutally tape the food packet. I find it very irritating. I don’t know how many of you faced it, but removing that tape actually requires power. If I’m taking it home I can understand it makes sense but dining in.. still they tape it. They do not return change if paid by Food Vouchers (Ticket/Sodexo). Even Kirana shop who accept vouchers do it. They do not even understand customer satisfaction. Like in general hotel. We place some order theat can come fast (when very hungry) and main order that would take time. I do place some tast finger or small items and request it ot bring generally with Coke ASAP and bring Pizza at usual time. They always bring it all together.
Just had Pizza at Madhapur branch. Very bad experience.
There was no place in pizza hut so I sat in the balcony (They have tables and chairs well placed for it) I ordered Garlic Toasties, Coke and Farmhouse as usual. I asked here to serve Toasties and Coke first as it takes 5-10 minutes for the Tosties and 10-15 minutes for Pizza. The cashier gal also agreed for the same. I took a seat in the balcony. 15 minutes there was no sign of Toasties. I asked her where was toasties. That was too late. You know what, it was just lying behind her and she didn’t bother to serve it or let me know about it. So #$%^ing bad. Well, She did the same thing for Pizza too. Immediately after finishing the Toasties, I asked if pizza was ready. It was lying right behind her on the table. I don’t know from where Doninos’ find this gawar ppl to work. Being sloe to the home is the only reason I visit them.

They have offer of "Rs 240 for two Veg-I" pizza. If you want Veg-II or Non-Veg Pizza they would give Rs 100 discount (for order of 2). But biller will just give Rs 100 as discount even for Veg-I pizzas. Pretty frustrating. So 2 Veg-I costs (2 x 185 - 100) = 270 +tax NOT 240+tax.
They never swipe the exact amount even if you pay by credit card (as bill always have some fraction due to taxes). They will wipe higher amount than bill amount.
domino’s have stopped accepting Sodexo/Ticket Meal coupon since March 2008, as per the local outlet.
