I must admit that out of all the pizzas available with delivery, Dominos is my favourite. Pizza by its very nature is greasy - after all what is cheese but a milk product and we all know that milk is high in fat. As soon as you start to add toppings, unless you go vegetarian, you will be adding extra fat. Add sausage, pepperoni, bacon, or ground beef and as the pizza cooks, the fat in these will melt and you end up with the grease that surfaces on your pizza.
Dominos tends to be less greasy than the others, and they were the first to be able to provide my favourite - ham and pineapple - when others couldnt. Their sauce tends to be fairly tasty and Ive always received my pizzas promptly, from whichever Dominos Ive ordered them from, in Arkansas (the first I tried), Florida and Georgia.
The toppings are quite adequate, and they are always offering deals so that you get more pizza for less money. I used to get double pineapple on my ham and pineapple - plenty of taste, plenty of pizza but overall, less fat, more fibre and it fitted in well when I was trying to lose weight.
We used to always have our pizzas in about 20 minutes, and back then Dominos had a 30 minute guarantee - if you didnt get your pizza in 30 minutes, your pizza was free. Apparently the States felt that this put drivers into dangerous situations of speeding and not abiding the rules of the road, so as to get the pizza there on time, and Im not sure if it was actually made illegal or if they just appealed to the pizza makers to change their stance and not offer the 30 minute guarantee. All of a sudden though, it disappeared.
Dominos has always provided good tasting pizza at a reasonable price; Ive always had pleasant, courteous drivers (who Ive always tipped a little for their trouble). Overall my experience is definitely a good one, and thats from about five different franchises in three different states, over a total of about ten years, so I would consider it fairly well balanced.
