So you ran into https://download.com yet ? If not make a quick visit. Interestingly, we all talk about ISP’s Bandwidth, Speed etc etc.. guess why, ’cause we ALL download stuff from the net.
Ever since Internet came up, it’s been a huge medium to post, share and get information. Lately it’s moving to the next phase, where we’re running Applications powered by Internet. Now where do we get all the necessary applications we need. Which is that one place, that can meet most net users basic needs for applications to use on their machine as well as on the Net.
Ever since I’ve started using Internet I’ve bumped into many different sites for downloading the right tools and applications. But very few has been well maintained / managed as https://download.com. These guys know where to bring in the balance to make the site useful for Home users as well as Power Users. As for content only other site that would match the same or more content is https://tucow.com. They have lot many mirrors geographically different to offer better download speeds. But their biggest downer is the Portal isn’t as easy to use as https://download.com.
As a whole, this is a complete portal for good use by most home users.
One word of advise, don’t go on a download and install rampage, that’ll not do much good to your machine’s health. Pick and download the one’s with right kinda user feedback. Read little more before you press that download button.
One more Pro for those newby Software Developers. You can upload and share your application with the rest of the world using this portal.
