Ive been dealing with dandruff problems on and off since my teen years. Ive tried quite a lot of anti-dandruff shampoos but nothing consistently works for me. Sometimes, Id even rotate brands of anti-dandruff shampoos. Recently, when I was in the lookout for an ayurvedic or herbal anti-dandruff shampoo my friend recommended to me Dr. Batras Dandruff Cleansing shampoo as it was natural. It seemed to work for her and so I decided to give it a try. Ive been using this shampoo for over a couple of weeks now but this shampoo hasnt brought any noticeable difference to my dandruff problem.
Here in this review Im going to list what I particularly liked or disliked about this anti-dandruff shampoo after using it.
PROS:
i) The shampoo comes in a decent looking plastic bottle with a flip-open cap for easy application.
ii) As the bottle is transparent, its easy to know how much quantity of the product is left.
iii) It has a mild and pleasant fragrance.
iv) It is claimed that this shampoo has been enriched with the goodness of Thuja thats rich in anti-oxidants, helps in improving blood circulation, prevents hair loss, promotes hair growth and has proven anti- bacterial properties.
v) It has a shelf life of 3 years.
vi) Quite economically priced at Rs. 175 for a 220ml bottle.
CONS:
i) This shampoo has only helped control my dandruff and itchiness of the scalp to a minimal extend and that too only when used on a daily basis. However, if I dont use it for even one day, dandruff starts appearing all over again.
ii) It does not lather much, so you end up taking more quantity leading to product wastage.
Id definitely not recommend this shampoo to anyone who is suffering from mild to severe dandruff problems as this shampoo does no justice to what it claims.
