Well Meru and Easy Cabs, started off as a really promising services and concept in Bangalore(I am not sure about other cities, I am writing this review for Bangalore), and then they just veered off the track, and is now on the wrong-way, and lost the much needed traction. I mean literally, all puns there are intended. Their service is officially the Worst, yes with a capital W, as far as my$0.02 goes. I can tell you for a fact, 100% of the time they let my family, friends and self down in the last about 10 times or so we called them(we called them one-after the other when we were turned down by the first). They are totally Unreliable! Now that is 1 quality, after safety, that matters in cab service like the zipper in your pants - Reliability!
They have an IVR and very(un)helpful set of guys with their heads some how stuck between a head-set, which somehow got linked to the all-helpful phone line 4422 4422 / 4343 4343(respectively).
They need a pit-stop, and over-haul their’stuff’(again puns intended), if they want to regain their reputation as reliable and consistent cab service companies(currently, I typed this with great trepidation, they currently seem to be at a point of no return).
Bottom-line, do not rely on them. They can not get a car to you if you gave them a year to arrange(I mean for all they could, book a new car, apply for a loan, hire a driver and then have it at your place, even that should not be more than a couple of months, I would say, but no!). They will not have cars in your area, they keep forgetting they have radios in the taxi and tracking mechanisms that can help them better, they just won’t use all that. In my suspicion they still use smoke-signals or something. "Once you finish your cigarette please call on mobile, and if you see me light my cigarette go home"(Smoke signals).
P.S. I wrote this in a light hearted manner, cause you don’t want to see/read me write in an angry way!(BTW, I am going to post this under Meru cabs as well, just to be fare(fair) to both of them).P.P.S. Please. someone start a reliable cab service in Bangalore!
