If you’re interested in rarities, in those obscure little goodies that you can find no where else, go to ebay.com. Why? Well, many of the auctioniers are like me.
I sell at many sites
And some, I’ll admit, I will use for the more mundane objects, things you could pick up at any store. The rarities, those things you can’t find anywhere, I reserve for ebay. I do this because they have the most buyers of any auction, so, for instance, the rare photo montage of Marilyn Monroe that I have from the Communist Occupied Section of Germany in the 1950’s, complete with their spin on the star, will go to ebay, because I’m likely to find the consummate collector there, the one who will truly treasure my treasure.
If you like treasures, you want them to go to someone who will appreciate them. I’m pleased that so many of my offerings wind up in museums. I credit that to ebay.
Collectors
Many sellers are like me, and they save their best stuff for ebay. This should tell you where to look for cherished rarities.
