Ebony’s has many things going for it. It’s on MG Road, they have some parking for their (early bird) customers, and they have a reasonable buffet. In fact, I’m wondering why I haven’t gone there for more than a month even as I write.
The lunch buffet is perfect for a quick (small: i.e. upto 16 people) group lunch provided you call and get reservations. The only problem with Ebony’s is that they have very limited space.
The food is good. Not as consistent as I would have liked, but good. (Go to Koshy’s for consistency.)
The lunch buffet cost approximately Rs 150 per person. A little less if you’re female; don’t ask me why.
There’s no dinner buffet.
My personal favourite is the Dhansak. This is a Parsi dish, and is very rich, but well worth it. Given that this is the only place where one can get this in Bangalore, it still is pretty good. Not as good as you’d get in a real Parsi joint (or home) in Poona or Bombay.
