?ONCE UPON A TIME there was a prostitute?. This is how the story begins. Yes this is the story about a prostitute. I bought this book from Bangalore MG Road foot path. Name of the book was catchy. Moreover it was from the author of ?THE ALCHEMIST?. I didn?t think twice.

Well!! Now I remember the proverb, which our English teacher Nancy taught us: ?Think twice before you leap?. I should not have wasted that much time. The story reveals that author has done a research on the thoughts of prostitutes. At many a place we can see his failed attempts to make the prostitution a divine profession. I still don?t know what made the author to write such a nasty erotic book. At least there should have been ?Adults Only? printed on the book.

I wondered what the book name ?Eleven Minutes? represent. Yes!! I was shocked to read that it is the time a man spends in between the legs (Author?s same words) of a prostitute. He brings in the two histories of prostitution in between the story and proclaims that prostitution was sacred at early times. Well!!! It might be true. Another attempt to connect pain and pleasure to salvation is also a part of the story. The detailed explanation of orgasms and varieties of doing sex has worsened the book.

Hell... At the end of the story I was so confused that I didn?t know what he meant, what message he intended to convey through this book.

Mates,

This is a book (A big zero) which is not worth reading at any time.

Cheers
