I traveled on the flight from Blore to Dubai (EK 569) yesterday. I was traveling business class. For the ticket price that we pay for a business class ticket, you would expect the equipment and staff would be good.
Immediately after sitting, I found that my entertainment system screen wasnt working, including the remote control. I was told, that we will get it reset. After the reset too, it didnt work. This time another staff member made the exact same statement and went ahead with the reset.
By this time, I was feeling a bit sleepy so I dozed off. I woke up after some time and requested for a blanket (remember the remote that has the call button wasnt functioning), even after 10 minutes, I didnt get one. So, I walked up to the area where the flight attendants were busy gossiping and asked about the blanket and the entertainment system again. I was told, that you had slept off, so we didnt disturb you. However, what is weird is that they were waking people up to serve food. I am sure that Emirates would never use substandard equipment and staff on flights other than to Indian cities. I feel that we are a little too tolerant.
For an airline like Emirates, the least they can do is to ensure that all the equipment is in working order and the staff adequately trained to do their jobs.
This review is for the Blore-Dubai-Blore leg only. I rate it quite high for US destinations.
