Fake Warranty, Fake service escalation

I have been drinking Aqua Guard water from childhood, so did not think twice about approaching Eureka Forbes when I needed a new state of the art Water Purifier. That was my biggest mistake.


I bought the Aqua Guard Sensa last year March. I did not even evaluate other brands, because of my trust of Eureka Forbes. The Warranty card I got clearly says 2 years of warranty. It also said that after 2 years I could buy a AMC from Eureka Forbes.


Well, last month the tap of the Sensa broke and water started leaking from the unit. I raised a complaint, the service person who came to my home were more of a salesman! All they wanted was to sell me a AMC(costing Rs 4000/-) !! Though the unit was clearly under warranty, they refused to do Warranty service.


I felt grossly cheated and told them that I shall escalate it within Eureka Forbes. “Do whatever you want” was the reply. It now seems that they knew what I did not know at that time – The entire escalation matrix given in Eureka Forbes website is a FAKE.


In the website there is a nice little escalation steps given 1. Register complaint 2. If not satisfied, register complaint to Manager  Customer Care 3. If not satisfied, complain to Head Customer Service etc.


Guess what? The entire thing is a SHAM. I followed all the steps in the website, but nobody, not the Manager Customer Care nor the Head Customer Care called me, or did anything to help solve the problem.


I am not sure anybody even reads those complaints. At least I did not see any evidence of it: anybody reading or taking any action at all.


Lesson of the day: The old Eureka Forbes is no more. Now all the company cares about is making short term money. STAY AWAY.

Finally yesterday, EUREKA Forbes guys came and changed the broken tap. While my immediate problem is solved, the fact that I had to run pillar to post for 1 month just to get legitimate warranty service done, left a very bad taste in mouth.
