Boss, you had the necessary contacts to get a Verification Certificate. For a person with catch, India Govt office is indeed a very nice place. For ordinary citizens like us, with no Govt catch, the same Govt office is a nightmare, and passport office is no exception

Bascially, you problem can summed up as a delivery time issue. Well, did they ever promise a fixed delivery time? I am sorry, but I fail to see Rediff's fault here. They sent the book alright. So, how are they to be blaimed if the courier did not find u at home ( yes, all couriers come during day time office hours only) or YOU thought it was some offcial papers. Thanks, very good review. And I feel sorry for the person who attacked you. Generally Mouthshut has become a forum of attacking companies when customers bed shabby treatment. Positive reviews like yours are missing, and brings about good change.
