I recently bought Faber chimney and Hob from Space N Design in Dr. Rajkumar Road, Bangalore. I was surprised to know that Faber does not send anyone for installation of the chimneys!!! I recently bought a Samsung refrigerator and Samsung representative visited our house to make sure everything was working fine and to give his tips on does and don’ts.
Compare this wth Faber!!! I had to shell out an extra Rs. 550 to get the chiimney installed from a guy who claimed to be an expert but who did not even remove the plastic covering on the chimney before installation! he said most people use chimneys without removing the protective covering! this despite a clear note saying that the protective covering should be removed before use! I am sure he had no knowledge whatsover about the principle behind the functioning of a chimney.
We had to spend another 30 mins to peel off the plastic cover and it really sucked!!! we could not get the plastic sheet out from the edges and joints and even today it looks ugly with all the plastic sticking out of the edges!!!
Faber should be made accountable for not caring about the customers! I am pretty sure they will loose out to new entrants in this field and consumers will teach them a lesson by not buying Faber products if there is no proper installation provided with the product.
