Height of Frustration!

As a member and shopper at Fashion and You, I too would like to share my experience of shopping at this website. Quite frankly initially(Feb, 2011) I was quite excited when I became a member, and the first item I purchased was delivered in time.


Then right from the 2nd order on, the problems started




  1. I purchased a spa coupon, paid by debit card, was even given the order confirmation, and then next thing I know they couldn’t trace the order. It didn’t register due to some technical issue. Ultimately I had to cancel the order and the amount charged from my debit card had to be re debited back into my account by them, which finally happened in like 15 days, even though they said it’ll happen in 2 days.




  2. I purchased a belt and some cosmetics, on the COD(Cash on delivery) service, which they promise to deliver within 3-4 weeks after the sale. After more than 6 weeks, and incessant calling by me, they finally informed me that one of the items had failed the quality check and hence they had held up the order. They finally did deliver the other two products to me, and very conveniently wrote on the website that all 3 items had been delivered!!




  3. I placed an order on the 2nd of March 2011, for a footwear and cosmetic set, on COD, which till 11th April had not been delivered(which is more than 6 weeks). On calling again and again, after lying to me that it would soon be dispatched, they finally gave in and told me that the footwear had failed the quality test!! (My bad luck or is it that they just cant seem to manage these issues!)I had to cancel the order coz it wasn’t worth it just for the cosmetics, plus I had used the Rs.1000 voucher on this order, which they said will be pushed back into my account after cancellation!! Guess what? It’s been 216 hours and no voucher in my account!! It’s just incredible how poor their service is!!




  4. Another order which I placed on 10th of March is still not delivered till today i.e. 19th of April, Again 6 weeks past the date of ordering! After calling them some 10 times in the last week, they have finally dispatched it today, I just hope I get what I ordered and on time!




  5. My mother, who is a member too, ordered a bag and a clock, which was delivered in the promised time frame. However being out of town at the time we could not check the products until after 4 days of delivery. That’s when we discovered that the wall clock DID NOT WORK! On writing to their customer care they promptly replied, apologizing, but we could not return the item as it had been more than 72 hours!! I wonder how a broken clock passed their QC, and if it did get damaged during the transit they should have a service to send someone for it’s repair!! That was the first and last order my mom placed with them!






The only reason why I did place orders with them till march end is because I have had a couple of orders delivered in good conditions and on time, like an acrylic wrap, a couple of kurtis(Aurelia) and carlton london footwear. But over all their service is highly frustratingly slow, and I would only recommend buying clothes from here..that too at your own risk and if you’re ok getting them in a couple of months!! Seriously, they should really get their act together and work on their system and customer care policies!
