Mohanlal’s acting career span has already crossed 27 odd years and he has acted in 300 odd movies. To pick five best movies from this great actors sprawling career is difficult a task. Nevertheless we can divide his acting career into 3- the earlier movies, the movies he acted in 90’s and the latest ones.
From his earlier movies there were many movies worth mentioning.Uyarangal, directed by I.V.Sasi where he plays a negative character( the main character of the film), Kelkatha Shabdham, directed by Balachandra Menon, again portraying a negative character, Aatakalaasham, directed bySasi Kumar, where he portrayed a negative in the first half and a reformed in the second half.
In the 90’s he came up with stellar performance in more than 100 movies...Bharatham directed by Sibi Malayail; he had won national award, Kireedom, directed again by Sibi Malayail, Vanaprastham, dIrected by Shaji N.Karun, he won the national award for this film, Sphadikam, directed by Bhadran are few to name.
His latest movies like paradesi, Ayal kathayezhuthukayannu, pakal nakshathrangal, Akashgopuram show that he’s a versatile genius. Many of his comedy movies are also worth mentioning, but I’m restrained in doing so.
