Books, books and more books

Just having read a review on this I decided to tell you about my 5 favorite places to buy books. I rarely if ever buy them new anymore as they are far too costly. The only time I might is if it is a reference book or something that I intend to keep using.

My most favorite place to buy books is on e-bay. Not the half.com part as with shipping these run high. If you go to the regular e-bay site and type in what you are looking for you will find tons. I deal with a few sellers over and over. I buy my books in lots from one person. This is where they will have several or a whole series for one price and when you are done bidding they end up very inexpensive. Some members will have a buy it now and it is exactly as it sounds. No bidding just one flat price.

Then we have several used book stores and thrift shops that all carry books. Paperbacks usually run 50 cents and hard covers$1.00. The used books stores also give you the option of returning the books and trading them in so this is a great way to get books. Matter of fact I picked up 7 yesterday for a total of$3.00.

I also check yard sales and flea markets. The latter will have box after box of books and some very good deals.

You can also exchange books with people you know and save tons of money this way so it is a good way to get to read what you want.

Last but not least, usually the library will have one or two book sales a year with lots of tables full of books and you can get some great prices there.

It is a bit crazy what they charge for new books these days when after all they are only made of paper so if you read a lot I do suggest buying them used.
