I think each of us harbours multifaceted dreams, deep in our hearts?. but conceal it from the rest of the world in the fear of being ridiculed or being laughed at! And I am no different. Like every human being, I have my set of dreams that I always wish would come true! And most of the time, the dreams we have, remain as dreams, ’coz we require someone else to fulfill them. and in other words we call them ’gifts’ that we would like to receive! So here goes my list(in random order!):.
A surprise party!
Surprised?! Don?t be.’coz this is one gift that you all must be secretly wishing to have! Picturize the situation: You have a birthday. No one seems to remember. You’re really sad, and go for a walk in the evening to get rid of those tears that have welled up. When you come back, the lights have gone off. Thinking its another of those doofus power cuts, and that things cannot get much worse, you gloomily enter the house. And Woah! The lights come on!. and everyone starts singing’Happy B’day to you’ And they’re all there, your favourite friends and relatives! Oooh! I know it might sound cliched, but for me, it’s the stuff of my dreams! But no one seems to wanna surprise me!.
A trip to Mauritius!
I love sun-kissed beaches. I love swimming. And I love travelling. What’s a better place to be than Mauritius! With the waves rolling away, and the sun shining away!. I’d love to visit with a bunch of some really good friends! Swimming with the multicoloured fishes and generally joking around with friends, would give me the ultimate pleasure! And yes. one more point, a stay at a five-star hotel would be’sone pe suhaga’! And if all this is sponsored by a ’secret admirer’?. Just WOW!
A whole day to Shop!
I am a true-blue girl. And like every girl, I looove shopping! So if someone gifted me a voucher that said: ’Will pay for everything this girl can buy in one day’, I would just freak out! Of course first I would transport myself to one of those ’shoppers paradises’ like Bangkok, Singapore, Malasia, Dubai, or even amchi Mumbai would do! And I would literally shop till I drop!* T-shirts, accessories, purses, watches, shoes, clothes*. and anything under the sun!. Oooh just the thought of it makes my hair stand on end!
A tryst with the stars!
Now who would not like to meet people whom we idolise on a day-to-day basis?. And whom we’ve always looked upto?! The list starts with Bollywood stars. Kajol, SRK, Rani, Naseeruddin Shah, Abhishek Bachchan(sorry Anki, Chandra!), Rahul Bose, Javed Akhtar, Shreya Ghoshal, Sonu Nigam. Hollywood stars. Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Julis Roberts, Richard Gere. TV Stars. Sujal, Ayushman, Kashish, Karan, Nandini, Sachin, Supriya. And others. Barkha Dutt, Arundhati Roy(my namesake!), Rajdeep Sardesai(ooh!), Medha Pathkar. and the list just goes on! Hey ’Make-a-wish foundation’, are you listening?!
.And now for the last one! You all must be expecting something really extravagant, or something equally impossible as the above mentioned! But the gift that I’d love to receive(when we only talk of material things!) and can, to some extent, receive too is?
A bouquet of Roses!
As I’ve mentioned in one of my earlier reviews(or have I?), I’m a total romantic at heart. and roses absolutely thrill me! If someone gives me a bouquet with an assortment of pink-n-white roses(I don’t like Red that much!). It would be just perfect! I would be completely satisfied in gazing at the roses and caressing them all day long. and getting lost in my own little fantasies! Is someone listening?!
