This is SO out-dated!! <i>I really don't know who I am, so I'll tell you what I think others think I am! <b>People say</b></i>.... I am <b>(very)talkative</b>... to the extent of obtaining a tag of 'chatterbox' for myself! I am <b>absent-minded</b>.... and people politely call me a 'day-dreamer' ;) I am a <b>leader</b>.... which is a polite way of saying that I'm too stubborn to follow instructions and am bossy! I am <b>cute</b>... which also stands for Creating Unnecessary Trouble Everywhere! I am a <b>scholar</b>.... a polite way of justifying why I stay up till one on the day prior to my exam, chatting on my computer! I am really <b>good at English</b>.... another way of saying that I suck at Math! I am good at <b>taking my own decisions</b>... which signifies that I'm down-right stubborn! I am <b>different</b>... another way of saying I'm wierd! I <b>love my friends with all my heart</b>.... which also means that I'm just too possessive about them! I take life at my <b>own pace</b>... I'm just too slow off the blocks! I am an <b>extrovert</b>..... meaning, I'm just too loud for everyone! I <b>underestimate</b> myelf too much.... another way of saying that I always beg for compliments (so true!) I have loads of <b>guts</b>... that is, I'm too 'in-the-face'! My <b>dimples are cute</b>.... another way of diverting your attention from my oh-so-large nose! I am very <b>confident</b>.... and almost control themselves from adding the 'over'!! I am <b>brave enough</b> to be able to manage when my parents aren't around... something they say to cover up for the fact that the whole house is in a mess! I am a <b>convincing orator</b>.... something they say after the speech where the teacher has to go 'ahem' to make them clap! I am <b>really good with adults</b>... the politest way of saying that I don't act my age! <b>Dogs love me</b>.... but not (most) people! I am <b>candid</b> about my thoughts.... translated, which means, I'm just too rude sometimes, and just don't know when to say what! I am <b>crazy about Mouth Shut</b>...... And I don't disagree! So you see, I'm truly truly really <b>great</b>! But here is something I really believe (I think Will Smith said it sometime!): <b><i>''Too many people spend money they don't have, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like!''</b></i> How true no?!. My main interests include: <b>1.People:</b> Especially ones like you who are interested enough to read such a dull profile... lol.. On the serious side, people intrigue me! Besides, I cannot imagine life without them ;) <b>2. Travelling:</b> I mean, I'm someone who is forever on the go! But, by far, my favourite destination is the <i>Himalayas- the abode of snow</i>! I've spent some of my most memorable moments in its lap! But all my trips would be absolutely unimaginable without a full-blown shopping spree ;) <b>3. Having Fun:</b> Which could mean anything from playing a game of Badminton, gossiping through the night, hanging out at the latest joint in the city, playing pranks at school, catching the latest flick, reading my favourite book the nth time over, playing a game of scrabble with the family, watching a cricket or tennis match, letting my hair down and dancing away.. to the latest.... <i>writing at Mouthshut!

Ambuj, Like I said, I couldn't find a category that could perfectly fit this review. Sorry to disappoint you. Cheers!
Santhosh, I agree there are no 'gay' animals, and I wish I had some kind of scientific facts to spill out about how homosexuality IS in fact inherent in a few of us. But I don't. All I know is, I have a lot of friends who are attracted to someone of their own gender, and I don't really see what's read more...
Thakurman, haha- I was expecting this question like much earlier, and was wondering why no one asked it! :D Cheers!
Ramya, Whatever it was that brought you here, I sure am glad you did come! And you're right... it doesn't come with age, but with experience :) Thanks for the gracious comment! Love, Aru
Sudipto, You are right! I definitely had a crush on Peter!! I wasn't trying to hide it or anything... It's just that that moment brought along so many questions- I wasn't so sure what the anger was directed towards... But he was too sweet to be angry at for long... :) No offence taken! Than read more...
Tanmay, Point taken. I realise exactly what you mean by the wrd 'straight' being offensive. I shall definitely keep that in mind henceforth... And I did not quite know what the law said about homosexuals in this land. But after reading you comment, I feel even more strongly about it! If the hi read more...

wow! None of my reviews have attracted so much conversation! :D
thakurman, First of all, thanks for the trust- it definitely counts! And it takes a lotta guts to come out of the closet. Especially in a country like ours where the public reactions would be almost predictable! The attitudes need to change 'forreal' (to use my friend's favourite phrase!).. :) read more...
Rohit, ’’All good men are either taken or are gay’’ haha... I like that. It's so true too! ;) And yeah, I guess my friend really was the safest bet for me in high school- and add to that fact that he was damn sweet- its quite an invincible combination ;) Thanks for dropping by! Glad you lik read more...
Teny!!! I'm glad you liked what I read... That's exactly why I dragged you here all the way from orkut ;) Keep dropping by! Hugs :D, Aru
Lps, Yeah. A lot of my homosexual friends' families do not know about their truths- because a lot of them are homophobic. It is very sad that while a whole section of society is ready to accept them, their families don't... Thank you for dropping by! Love, Aru
Alok and Smita, I'm glad I've written something that has opened up a whole big debate. As I already said, you cannot blame bad experiences with a particular person on their sexual preference, or gender, or religion. Calling all gay men flirtatious or un-manly or abnormal, is making as fundamen read more...
Nagraj, Let's just agree to disagree :) No worries! Aru
Alak_Ranjan, How can you stereotype the entire gay community with one experience? And if I, as a girl, was giving a guy a ride who was making awkward advances at me, I'd throw him out of the car too... I don't think it has to do with being gay... But thank you for dropping by, and taking time read more...
Smita, I felt quite dumb for reacting the way I did when I did, but now I'm realising it was probably normal... :D Thanks for dropping by! I'm glad you liked it... Love, Aru
Shanti, You're so right! Why can't we just let people be? Thank you for dropping by... I'll treasure the comment- especially since it comes from a writer I myself admire a lot. Love, Aru
Nagaraj, Thank you for your gracious comments... but I disagree with you on a few things: 1. Homosexuals are not self-defeaters. In fact, they are comfortable with their own selves, a sign of supreme self-confidence. 2. They do not lack manliness in any way. In fact, they can be some of the read more...
Seera, You're so right! These are issues that surround us, but yet we choose to be oblivious. Maybe if this had never happened with me first hand, my impression of homosexuals would have remained as it was... I wonder how many other such things I'm completely oblivious to right now... Thank yo read more...
Sarvesh, You're right. Homosexuality is so widely embraced in the US. But yet, there are so many problems they face there too... It's quite sad. I don't know how long it's gonna take people to realise that homosexuals are every bit as 'normal' as anybody else- and it's not like you're gonna be ab read more...
