Boring...
Somewhere in the cover youd find this "Funny, dark and nonstop..." Well its the second thing "dark" that makes this book different and to be accurate "dull and boring". Hey think of this... youre seeing a movie and your favorite star is the hero and in this film his plays the role of a robber. Howd you feel if his attempt to rob something fails and say hes caught by the police... Ok you might expect that hed come up with some great plan and escape from the prison and with a better plan make a cool robbery. What if all his attempts fail and even after some two hours of watching the movie you find that hes still the very same loser, stuck in the prison. Wont you get annoyed? Thats what this book is like- "Dark"
Theres nothing very funny in this book... Somewhere there is this scene -Hari teases his two friends Alok and Ryan pointing out that they two speak with a rhyme scheme and proudly says that he was happy driving Ryan crazy...
That was sick. Now that Im in a hostel with all memories of teasing a friend and making fun that way, staying fresh in mind (just to compare), I somehow think "you call this fun??"
But anyway, he has written the book in an informal style and I liked that very much.Except for the dragging, "not at all funny" chapters in the middle this book is quite good.
There arent any plots or twists, atleast thats what I thought until before I had read the last chapter :-)
So thats it.
If youd like to know about "gpa", read on...
See each subject (here, course) based on its importance is alloted some credits- say like this:
Maths 4, ED 3, CS lab 2. And when one passes that course in the sem he gains so many credits (and thre would be some limit say 180 credits to be obtained to finish the degree). And for each grade there are points, something like...
A grade:10,
A-grade :9.5
B grade 8 and so on...
So if I top the class in Maths Id get A in maths and that they calculate (no of creditsgrade pt) 410=40 Likewise calculation is done for each subject and the average is found- and thats your grade point average (gpa which is out of ten)
Do post ur comments. ;-)
