I’ve always thought there’s no point in online shopping in India; I had terrible experiences in the past - mailmen stealing or damaging my package, one-month delays, and I also remember standing for hours in a post-office waiting for them to find my parcel; products tend to cost 5 times the price, usually there’s NO customer service, and you HAVE to pay by credit card so if something happens to your parcel - you’re screwed. Well.Flipkart is nothing like that. I’ve been buying from them for over a year and so far I’ve not had even one bad experience! My mom buys a book every week or two and she’s really happy with the site as well. I used to order from amazon a lot(when I lived in the U.S) and I can say without a doubt - Flipkart is even BETTER than Amazon. Why is it better? Here’s a few points: faster shipping, free shipping on all orders over 150 ruppees(I think), many books are cheaper or exactly the same price as Amazon, they have their own shipping company, and best of all is Cash On Delivery. I had a few bad experiences with my parcel being lost while I was in the U.S, and once it was even stolen; here you never have to worry, because even if it happens you don’t have to pay since it’s C.O.D! I do have a credit card but it’s obvious why it’s not as good. I recently ordered a 3DS game console, it costs 14, 000 ruppees, and even that is C.O.D! Which website on this earth would agree to send something that costs that much with C.O.D? I’ve been reading some reviews on this website about the customer service - I can’t comment much on that since I’ve never needed to contact them.
