No fumes..mummy happy :-)

Hello guys let me explain you about my cute electric chimney.

Last month the rennovation of our house was completed and there was no chimney in our kitchen.I went with my dad in search for good deals. At last we saw one advertisement in times of India. It was Glen(italy) company offer. They were giving latest model futuristic look electric chimney with a very attractive offer which we could not ignore.A four burner gas stove of same make was free with that. The package was offered for Rs 11000 but my dad got two sets each for Rs 9500(my dad is in Income Tax). One for ground floor and other for first floor. My mother is satisfied with it(she knows best as she only bears the heat and fumes in kitchen). The best part of my chimney is that it looks great in chrome finish and it has many settings.Three well glowing dedicated lights are placed below it which illuminates the cooking pans/utensils and helps to see clearly whats cooking.Beautiful.And its very quite(The voice is like our ceiling fans).

If you are constructing new house please make a provision for fitting a chimney in your kitchen. Its worth as later on if you like to do the same, it will cost you more plus lots of breaking of walls/roof...got it?

And when you are buying dont forget to check out the best deals available in the market. The famous brands includes FABER, KAFE, GLEN etc.

The chimneys are fitted directly above the gas stove (about 3 feet above). The other things needed during installation are Plastic pipes and an exhaust fan.

The chimneys work by the suction power its motor generates when it is exposed to fumes when its swiched on.

Advantages of electric chimneys:

1) Your granite/marble/tiles/wooden furnishings will be protected from sticky fumes which comes out from pressure cooker and frying pans.

2) Your kitchen roof and walls will not become black.

3) Your house will not get filled of steam/smoke when you are preparing aalu parathas.

4) It will help prevent sneezing when chillies are fried.. haha.

5) The kitchen is easy to maintain and clean.

6) It will improve the aesthetics of your already beautiful kitchen.

7) Prevents irritation during cooking your favourite meals..which can spoil the taste!

Disadvantages:

1) Still not as economically priced so most of the people avoid them.

2) The very effective and heavy motors are priced very high.

Important tips:

> Check all company deals.

> Check that it comes with a warranty.

> check that it doesnot make noice.

> Dont think the costlier ones are better..they are actually fitted with bigger motors and are indeed made for use in restaurents/hotels etc.

> Make sure you hide the plastic pipeline fittings as they might spoil all game!

> Provide provision in your newly constructed kitchen.

There is no maintainance.Just clean it with a wet cloth.Thats it.Cleaning of the filters is recommended once in a year.It comes with a one year warrenty too.

I strongly reccomend it to all you friends reading my review....Please do tell your friends also to make yours and their mummy happy by installing an electric chimney.

I hope my guidelines/suggestions would help some of you potential buyers!!
