I was using Hathway cable internet in Pune for last 2.5 years. The reason we had opted for this was quick availability and no deposit. For casual use, it might be ok. But if you are business user, say e.g. you are interested in trading or want to work from home. This is highly unreliable.
Let me go through the details:
The connection can go down immediately when it starts raining. Even the slight rain will disrupt their service. In normal cases also, it goes down for no good reason.
The customer care for technical issues and billing issues is different dept and phone no. Moreover, they wont transfer you. Alright, even thats ok. But the most irritating part is that, apart from the technical dept, everyone else is highly unprofessional. They just dont care about the customers. When I asked the executives at Kothrud office on receiving the rude answers, "Is this the kind of service you give to customers?". His reply was, ’YES’!
For technical issues, if the technician has to visit your place, ’All the best’! He will take his own sweet time. You are simply screwed then. They do not honor any SLA or so.
I had opted for 6 months prepaid kind of plan, but I was receiving erroneous huge bills for 5-6 months.
On termination, they dont give you any authorized sealed receipt. On asking, "what can I do if you do send me bill after termination?"; reply was’Ignore it!’.
In short, there is no such thing as customer service at hathway!
So just stay away guyz!
