I have been a customer of HDFC bank since last so many years and was also having the HDFC Master Credit card with me.
Recently, my Relationship Manager in New Delhi branch requested me to upgrade the card to another card since its a very good card and will give me more benefits. Also that he will send one person from the bank to my house to get the necessary papers signed.
Finally I got my new card and almost after one week I got my first bill for payment. To my shock, I saw that my Reward points are showing only 2715 as balance, while my earlier card was having a balance of 6667 points.
While checking with their call centre, I am informed that whenever theres any upgradation on the card, the old points get forfeited and only 40% points gets carried forward. I was really shocked to hear this. Why this hasnt been told to me earlier by anyone from the Bank.
I would have never gone for this offer. The bank staff has behaved with utter irresponsibility towards this issue, all the more, when I tried calling my RM he never took my calls. I posted my complaint via email to their customer care centre, but 15 days have passed but no reply from them.
I could never imagine that an Imperia customer would be harassed, ditched and be given this fraudulent offer by such a great bank like HDFC.
