I bought my Hero Honda ambition on Feb. 14th 2003 in the Nidhi Motors(Banglore). When I bought the bike it is very smooth I hardly used to listen to the sound of the bike even after starting it. I used to get the good mileage around 65-70 during the first year. I had very good experience with this bike for the first one and half year. I used to leave the bike for the service regularly.
After one and half year the engine started to make the noise. I went to the service center and explain the problem to them. They said I have to replace the crank shaft and bushes, both of them are going to cost me around 5k. So I came back till know I haven’t changed them, still I’m riding the bike with the same problem. Now I’m left with two choices....
Spend 5K and repair the bike.
Sell the bike and buy the new bike.
I’m in a confused state on what to do. I can’t sell it and think of buying a new bike because of finance problem. At the same time I can’t spend 5K on the bike to get it repaired because it is too expensive. In mouth shut there are many people with solid experience in using the bike. Can any one suggest me the solution to this problem?
