My Bull after 8000 km
I have driven my bull for 10000 plus kilometres now its the right time to do some review of the bike. Last year when I bought this bike in Bangalore I could hardly see an Hunk on road still I wanted to try this bike. I was right in going for this bike as now I can find so many Hunk on road which explains its popularity.
To be honest I was not happy with the bike for first 1500 km but after 2 services(I preferred to service the bike thro’ a external service station), the bike started showing its raw power, by third service it was an eyecatcher on road.
Most of my travel is on highways in and around Bangalore, believe me its impossible to keep the bike under 100kmph, it just asks for more. The bike has a solid gripping and can manouvre the curves very easily. Its engine is almost noiseless when cruising at high speeds. The maximum stretching I have done on my bike is I rode nonstop from Bangalore to Vellore constantly at speeds between 100 to 115 kmph and then returned back the same day.I maintained a speed of around 90kmph on return. The bike really performed true to its name. The bike cruises at speeds over 110 plus without any vibrations.The suspensions are really good and you feel definitely better with this bike on bad roads.Having driven pulsar and unicorn, I find the seating position the best in Hunk. Its definitely a bike for long distance.
The maintenance of chain is required regularly which I think is common for 150cc plus bikes. Being one of the heaviest bike in this segment mileage has been quite consistent around 43 to 45 kmpl.The bike misses a switch very badly for turning off the vehicle and everytime it has to be done by other means. If I am correct there is still no switch to turn off the vehicle in Hunk. Gear shifts are very comfortable. The rear tail lamp is one thing which I hate in this bike.In last one year the bulb has been changed 7 times. Overall I am very much happy with my bull.
