My Name is Sree. I am from Chennai, TN. I recently purchased HH Karizma R (Black). It is a dream comes true for me personally. I gave a lot of thoughts about buying a bike for myself. For the past 3 years, we have a lot of Bikes coming in to India. Yamaha introduced R15, Fz etc; Bajaj introduced new variants in Pulsar, Hondas CBR250, Unicorn, etc. It was really tough to select. My friends gave me a lot of options but I was sure that I will not buy a Pulsar. No offense to Pulsar owners (you know the real truth). Simple guys, Pulsar are the only Bike that had many changes and upgrades for the past 2 yrs. I dont want to take a chance. More over I have a Black CBZ (2001 model) and still running in good condition. I know the durability of HH engine and its value. More important, you can get a HH spare parts any where in India. Expensive though. In the end, I bought Karizma R. It costs 88k in Chennai inclusive of all tax and extra charges.
Now about my Bike,
It has awesome looks. The ride height is lowered when compared to its prior release and it gives amazing position to ride the bike. That was the first thing that amazed me. I am 58. I always had a thought if this bike is going to give problems while riding. But it is awesome.
Good things: Amazing performance (223 CC), amazing comfort, amazing ride control.
Fuel consumption: You can’t expect 50 + KMPH for a 223 cc bike. However, it gives a mileage of 36 - 38 kmph in city. I have not taken it on the highways yet. I am okay with the mileage.
Top speed I have touched is 110 and it is said that the bike is capable of touching 140 with out any tuning. I didn’t try harder because it’s a new bike and don’t want to spoil it in its early stage.
Problems I had: I have a problem with the disc break and the rear one is not that effective. The mechanic from the HH service station said that he will fix it on the First service. I have driven 650 km so far and I am so happy to ride the bike.
Its heavy (150kg), but doesn’t sound like one when you ride.
Amazing bike guys, if you want to go for it just do it. Don’t have a second thought. I will post few pics at the earliest.
Regards,
Sree
