Why I did not buy the New City 2009:
Bad plastics - feels cheap and easily breakable. The door handle actually bends when used!
Tiny useless wheels- needs 16" alloys with 195 or 205 width to get best results.
Low ground clearance - bottom scraped very easily.
Fuel efficiency is poor - not at all as claimed but even worse than the Corolla Altis
Can’t add a DVD or VCD player for my children- children need to see something on long drives. Those with small children will agree. The inbuilt player only plays MP3
Lousy paints used - scratches very easily - A cloth used for washing will scratch the paint. I have never driven a car with such useless paint job.
Bad interiors and fabrics - reminds of 1950 cars!
The boot, even though spacious, has a very small entry - so to juggle big suitcases through the small opening is a struggle. What is the point of a large boot with a microscopic opening?
No airbags or safety features for passengers.
The grey front does not match with the colour scheme except black.
Astronomical price for a low-market car with a good engine!
