Mostly plus

I have seen the description of the Eterno on the company’s web site. The first review here, that by Ramesh p, is pretty much a verbatim copy of that and therefore deserves no attention.

My Eterno is now five months old. I do not use it much, and only rarely to go outside the immedite neighbourhood. It has given me no trouble so far. The dealer’s attitude, however, leaves much to be desired.

Neutral’s being at one extreme does make it easier to find, but I cannot understand the absurd claim that it places less strain on the wrist.

I bought my first motorcycle in 1968 and owned bikes between 350cc and 650cc (though I did ride larger capacity ones owned by friends) until back trouble forced me in 1995 to switch to a Bajaj Chetak. The Eterno may well be the smoothest single-cylinder vehicle I have ridden.

Three problems:

  1. People who are short, as I am, can have trouble.

  2. False neutrals are frequent - but then I have never seen a bike (not a scooter) without this.

  3. While the Eterno is fine on good roads, it becomes a bit fussy on rough ones.
