Unicorn : The Best

I purchased Unicorn in Dec2005 after a long research, honestly I found Mouthshut reviews on Unicorn very useful in narrowing down on Unicorn (many thanks to all reviewers). Only thing I had in my mind before buying one was a trouble free n comfortable bike for covering 30-35 km per day, mileage no bar (me an ordinary techie with real bad back)

Good things of Unicorn :

> Superb Engine , I feel it is the best in 150cc, the Engine is very smooth n there is absolutely no Vibrations, noise or harhness.

> Gear Transmission is another marvel, it is very precise n smooth.

> Mono Suspension works preety well for me as my weight is 95 kilos and it is very stable at all speeds.

Bad Things :

> Service is not upto my expectations, many say spare parts are costly. But I guess Honda quality should be the best. (So far no part replacement done)

> Tank could have been sleeker like one on old CBZ

> No side stand indicator, No Alloys (I have seen one Unicorn modified with black alloys, it looks killing)

> Muffler is very long n large, they could fit one which is on CBR (with metallic mesh around) or atleast like one on old Ambition.

Personally I feel good things outscore over bad in big way. I will recommend this bike without any hesitation. Till now I have covered 9, 200 kms, still in free service period. As far as mileage is concerned it’s very subjective and depends on many factors, I get about 45 kmpl n I’m very happy about that. Of curiosity I took a my collegues’ Unicorn for a ride, It was awesome, same feeling that of mine (though it has done 32, 000 kms) n he too is very happy to own one. So go n get one :)

Thanks
