I wanted to write this review since January 2012 but could not find time but this was always in my to-do list and finally today I am successful in writing this review. If you book package tour to Goa from bangalore you may land up in **Hotel Goa International , Miramar , Panaji**. I believe most of the Bangalore travels route the tourists to this hotel. I had booked a trip to Goa this year in January first week. I inquired about the package tours to Goa for 4 days 3 N and finally booked the package through Manish travels , Madivala bangalore.
I was told the the Hotel is worth the charge (~ 2500 / day) and their hospitality is awesome. There will be a pick up and drop to the Bus station/airport. I reached Goa on 4th Jan 2012 and made a call to the hotel staff Mr Sandeep ( who was in charge of my package tour ) to pick me from the Bus stand. From here on wards the plight begins.
Mr Sandeep did not pick the call at 10am . I called him 4 times and when he picked my call he shouted - *Who is this, Kaun hai be* ? I said - I have a hotel and Goa tour booking with you . His response was - *To main kya karu ?* I was shocked to hear this. I have traveled a lot within the country and outside the country and never had experienced this.
He then said he cannot come to receive us nor can send a car and asked us to take an auto and reach the hotel. On reaching he hotel he proudly said he will pay for the auto. he handed me Rs 100/- note and asked me to pay the auto driver. I got infuriated He treated me as his one the hotel boy. I shouted at him stating this was not a way to deal with the guest. This person’s name is SANDEEP. Guys please be careful with dealing this guy. As I was strong I did not back out. Since the guest already pays the hotel rent in advance this person does not care , he says if you want to leave the hotel just leave he won’t refund any money.
Next - I was charged for A/C room so I asked for the same. To my horror they said I have to pay 500/- extra as my package does not include A/C room. This was a big trap. I called Manish travel Bangalore but was of no use as they also said AC room was not included in the package. **Both the Manish travel and Hotel Goa international cheated me.** . I had no choice other than paying extra 2000/- for AC room. They switched on the AC.
Next - , I was looking for the remote to adjust the AC flow but could not find the same. Upon calling the reception I came to know that **they don’t provide AC remote in the room** This was news to me. I lost my control and blasted them , finally they handed over the AC remote .
Next day they switched off the AC in the early morning . Upon calling them they said why do you need AC in the early morning. -- This was the pathetic question I had ever heard. Again I had to shout at them to switch on the AC.
They don’t allow guest to take food in their room. Again I had to fight. This hotel was a battle ground for me. My complete travel was ruined.
A suggestion - when you book for goa package and the travel guys offer Hotel GOA INTERNATIONAL , MIRAMAR, PANAJI just blindly deny the offering . The hotel staffs are all collection of rude fellow . Not only the male staff but the female staff are also the same. They are of the opinion that if a Customer has paid for the hotel stays they won’t leave the hotel until they complete their stay and even if the customer leaves they don’t refund.
