Before making any comments on Cigarretes please read the below notes. Dr. Jeffrey wigand was a former senior Scientist in Brown & Williamsons. This is the 3rd largest tobaaco comapny in The USA and possibly the 5th largest in the world. He was fired from the company, the reason being poor communication skills. The real reason why Dr. Wigand was fired was because he came to know that the company was putting nicotine in the cigarretes which were called safe by them. This is a very important statement made By Dr. Jeffery Wigand in CBS’s 60 minutes as well as a sworn testament in the court of kentucky....
Dr. Wigand said that ’’Brown & Williamson manipulates and adjusts that nicotine fix, not by artificially adding nicotine, but by enhancing the effect of the nicotine through reuse of chemical additives like ammonia, whose process is known in the tobacco industry as ’impact boosting.’ While not spiking nicotine. They clearly manipulate it. There’s extensive use of this technology which is called ammonia chemistry that allows for nicotine to be more rapidly absorbed in the lung and therefore affect the brain and central nervous system.’’ Brown & Williamson and British American Tobacco (its parent company) knew that nicotine was an addictive drug and they knew smoking caused cancer and other diseases and they also developed very sophisticated legal strategies to keep this information away from the public, to keep this information away from public health authorities. According to Brown & Williamson’s own confidential files, any evidence, any documents that showed any Brown & Williamson’s tobacco products like Kools or Viceroys (Tobbaco Products of Brown and williamsons which they avertised as safe tobbaco products) might be unsafe, those documents would have to be produced in court as part of any lawsuit filed by a smoker or his surviving family. One of the chemicals in cigarette is coumarin...coumarin is Rat Poison. The last puff of the cigarettes (when you smoke the butt) is 67 times more dangerous then the first puff.
The reason why I am highlighting the above points is because of the late many people have started taking excessive tobbaco products, majority of them is Cigarretes. When I was in my first year in engineering there were 66 students in my class and about 15 of them smoked. By the time I was in my last year there were 74 students in my class and nearly 60 smoked. I was one of them and I regret the fact that I had this disgusting habit. I was not a habitual smoker so it was very easy for me to quit smoking. (its 2 years since I have had one). The movie ’’The Insider’’ was the real reason why I gave up smoking. Although the movie is more of a media story and less of a anti-tobbaco movie, but I still plead members of mouthshut to watch this movie. It stars Al Pacino and Russel Crowe. It was nominated for 7 oscars (including the top 3 of best film, director, actor and Screenplay - adapted). That it deserved to win all of them and did not is a totally different issue. But the point is that please think twice before you take that puff.
