This is is a copy of a mail I sent to all my friends, students, and acquaintances. This was sent to shame HP into contacting me.The details of what went wrong are too long to really put here. But suffice to say, you may be getting badly designed laptops that are dumped from 1st world countries to us third world ones.
"This is a warning for you be careful and help you in your buying decision if case you are considering HP notebooks.I had some issues regarding my HP pavillion 5100 series laptop, and have been trying to contact someone relevant to give answers. Since JUNE! Yes, June.
Believe or not, despite various calls, emails, and threats of a class action suite... (yes, I am enlisting the help of consumer lawyers now!), but because of the MNC clout they think they have, have not deigned to reply.
My last call was a very long and painful (read pathetic & imploring call) to a Mr. Dhiraj on the customer call no. 180112267. He promised that a mr. Harris or mr. Shekhar would call me and look into the matter. This was more than 2 weeks ago.
I have been trying to call the number given to me… 080- 256- 3344. But haven’t been able to get through. So, if you are thinking in going for an HP notebook, think again. You can buy it, but forget customer service.
