I’ve been an ICICI bank customer for 5 years now. The online services are very usefull and fantastic. The ATM network is the best.
But coming to direct customer services it is just useless. I have transacted lakhs of rupees through them(Now I use a different bank) . I had several issues on clearing checks but was not allowed to meet the manager who seems like a distant dream for clients. The front office guys keep on changing and not aware of the advanced facilities of the bank. They just ignore client request or appear deaf to queries they couldnt answer.
Once I drew a huge amount which was given to me in 100 rs denomination. When I asked for 500 they simply said, we cannot give 500 to everyone who ask for?. I normally use the online facility on the bank with ATM and avoid going to them in person. There is a particular issue with them which I want to share. I receive periodic checks from a company which use computers to print the checks. 3 of the checks have been kept under suspense account by ICICI bank. But the others where cleared. Same company same details, but they have no answer for this and everytime I had to go there in person, write up a letter and follow it up to clear the suspense check. And the guys dont feel any guilt about it.
